Summary

This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of field office support functions including, but not limited to, the following : loading, weighing, and ticketing trucks, preparing daily load summaries, managing inventory, accepting payment, basic typing and word processing, filing, answering calls, light bookkeeping, courier duties, customer relations, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment (loader, scale, etc) safely and efficiently.
  • Keep time and material records.
  • Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
  • Knowledge of weight requirements and loading restrictions.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Travel to and from various work locations.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient business operation.

Education and / or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Speak and articulate clear verbal communication through various media email, two-way radio, face-to-face, etc.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general computer operation; Inventory and Order processing systems;

knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver’s license required.
